Please Support Your Local Shelter

Published by Jodi at 1:00 am under Charities, Saving Animals, Thoughts Edit This

Allot of local shelters are run on donations, at least I know ours is, and not just money either. These shelters don’t just have to have money donations, they need anything to use for animals or for cleaning, etc. It would not cost you a thing, instead of taking that old blanket to Goodwill, give it to your local shelter, don’t throw those old towels away, they can use them too, holes or not! Newspaper, don’t recycle them give them to your local shelter, they need them. And you can always go to the dollar store and pick up some trash bags, cat litter, paper towels, cat and dog food, toys, allot of them use bleach to clean with. These are all items that can be picked up very cheap at your local dollar store and taken to your local shelter and help them out. Shelters are not just asking you to donate money to help them, there are so many things that you have around your own house that you have thrown in the garage or attic for that yard sale, that they could use, and it would be helping a homeless animal. Why not help your local shelter and at the same time help an animal that is not as fortunate as an animal that has a furever home? If in doubt, call your local animal shelter and ask them what they could use to help them and the animals out. It will only take maybe a half hour out of your day, is that really asking for too much? I sure don’t think so.
